Clean Sources of Energy to Avoid Contributing to Global Warming

Many people wonder what they can do to help dampen the effects of the climate crisis. One method of doing so incorporates the usage of clean’ energy; that is, energy that does not contribute to the levels of greenhouse gas present in our atmosphere. There are several sources of clean energy, and although it may cost more, the benefit on the planet’s ecosystem is well worth the extra money. Commonly known as green power’, the Environmental Protection Agency has formed a partnership to help encourage the usage of these alternative sources of energy.

Trees

The word tree denotes plants, a family mapped through various generations, as well as scientific notations like binary trees. So anything that has a root, strong trunk or stem, and branches out can be termed as a tree. In fact, a few centuries ago people placed in the entrance way a tree for visitors to hang hats and coats on.

In nature trees are big plants that grow tall, flower, and fruit. Trees are all around us furniture, paper, food, houses, and toys. Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Ozone

We often hear the word “ozone” especially in today’s world where the environment is in danger due to pollution and other human excesses. But what exactly is ozone? Ozone is one of the many naturally occurring trace gases including methane, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide that comprise the Earth’s atmosphere. In geek terms, ozone is an allotrope of oxygen which means that its molecules consist of three oxygen atoms instead of the more stable O2.

Ozone gas exists mainly in our planet’s atmosphere in low concentrations but it is also present on ground level where it is considered an air pollutant with damaging effects on lung functions. Nevertheless, ozone performs a very critical function in the earth’s upper atmosphere - it

UK Olympic Challenges

London’s jubilation over being selected as the site of the 2012 Olympics is already having disquieting echoes for many Londoners. The estimated costs of holding the games, one of the world’s biggest spectacles, in the British capital have already risen at least 40% since the city was awarded the honour in 2005. Were that not bad enough, many people think that the additional 900 million figure put forth by the UK s Culture Secretary, Tessa Jowell, last November, is itself a significant underestimate.
